Canberra motorists are advised that the northern end of Mall Road West, the authorised vehicle drop-off point at Questacon, is closed for maintenance.

The road was originally scheduled to be closed from 22 February 2010, however due to damage caused by recent rains, the closure has been brought forward.

Motorists visiting Questacon are advised to use the carparks to the Lake side and National Library side of the building.

The entire Mall Road West is closed for buses. During the closure, bus parking will be temporarily located at the Patrick White Lawns carpark accessed off Parkes Place West. Bus traffic in the area will be directed by detour signage during the closure.

Access to the Questacon basement for authorised vehicles will not be effected.

The road will be re-opened for use in early March 2010.
